On Saturday evening, members of the Pink Hygiene team took to the streets of London to join 17,000 other men and
women in the annual MoonWalk London, organised by the breast cancer charity, Walk the Walk.
Getting into the spirit of the evening, the team set off from Clapham Common just after 11:00pm wearing brightly coloured Hawaiian themed bras, to power walk the challenging distance of 15.1 miles, into the early hours of Sunday morning.
Barry Marsham, Joint Director, comments “We are delighted that our training and commitment has paid off and that we managed to complete the walk and raise a substantial amount of money for such a worthy charity. The buzz that was created from so many individuals coming together to support the same cause made for a thoroughly enjoyable night”.
As firm supporters of the charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer, earlier this year Pink Hygiene decided that they wanted to get involved in this event to help raise money and awareness for breast cancer.
Adam Speck says, “This is the first year that Pink Hygiene have taken part in the event and all of the participants, Barry Marsham, Adam Speck, Keri Reynolds, Sally Marsham, Charlotte Marsham and Rhian Reynolds, finished the walk in very respectable times. More importantly however, the team has raised an incredible £1,795 as a result. Well done team Pink!”
