Pink Hygiene Take to the Streets

Pink Ribbonwalk CollageOn Saturday 9th July 2016, members of the Pink Hygiene team participated in the London at Night Ribbonwalk, along with hundreds of other individuals, to raise money for Breast Cancer Care.

Breast Cancer Care is the only UK wide Charity providing care, information and support to people affected by breast cancer. Their Pink Ribbonwalk is an annual event aimed at people of all ages, offering various distances to suit your physical ability.

Starting at the Imperial War Museum the team set off at 8pm, walking the selected distance of 10 miles throughout London. Taking in the well-known city sights, Pink Hygiene led from the front from the very beginning, completing the walk in a fantastic time of 2.5 hours. To add to the achievement, all members of the team finished in the top ten!

Adam Speck, Joint Director, states “As a cause close to our hearts we wanted to set ourselves a team challenge which would allow us to raise more money and awareness for breast cancer. The event itself was extremely enjoyable and, whilst there were a few aching legs towards the end, was an emotional and satisfying evening’.

Barry Marsham added, ‘we are committed to supporting breast cancer charities and have already donated and raised a significant amount of money over the last two years, since launching the company. I want to extend huge congratulations to the Pink Hygiene participants who were so committed to this event and have raised an impressive amount of money between them. Well done!’
